Old School Halloween Dinner

Location: Wedgwood Tearoom, Barlaston
The 'Wizard of Wedgwood's' kitchen has conjured up the following ‘ghoulish’ menu for this fun evening.
As usual with our Old School Dinners Andrew will be choosing a different wine to accompany each course of Dave’s menu.
Dinner Menu - Halloween
Spookish Canapés

Witches Broth
Pea & bacon chowder, served with freshly baked bread
Deep fried blood bites
Bite size pieces of blood sausage, deep fried in a tempura batter with a tomato concasse set on dressed leaves
Ghouls breath pate & bat toast
A homemade garlic & Armagnac liver pate, with hot toast
Wizard Salad
A pyramid of smoked duck and blood orange, set on citrus dressed leaves

Flesh & Eyeball Stew
A French classic of beef and sweet onions in a full bodied red wine sauce
Griddled bats wings with black butter
Grilled skate wing with a beurre noir and a gem lettuce & fresh pea fricassee
Battered Frog
A traditional dish of butchers choice sausages, baked in a light batter with an apple and sage compote & caramelised onion mash
Boiled Entrails
Fresh linguine with sun blushed tomato ragout, parmesan crisps and garlic dough balls

Served with water biscuits & red onion marmalade

With a pecan & maple cream
Apple Bobbin
Baked apple with prunes, cinnamon & ginger, Served with dead good custard
Pile of bones with blood sauce
Italian meringue bones with a raspberry compote and mint sugar
Crispy pot of gruel
Clotted cream rice pudding with a brulee topping

Tickets for this dinner are priced at £49.95 per person.
(this includes dinner and all wines, water, etc)
Halloween 'costume' is optional though some 'clue' is a good idea.
As with all our dinners we all share one big table, groups will always be seated together.
