A great new find for us, this domaine produced its first commercial vintage since 2000 and has already secured itself as one of the stars of Burgundy. On the top part of the hills between Puligny and Mersault benefiting from a cooler micro climate and thus encouraging a racy minerality that its neighbours struggle to achieve. It is fantastic to see Ms Martelet denying Maison Louis Latour her fine grapes and bottling herself.

The Chalumeaux show a fantastic balance between buttery richness and piercing mineral notes. The fruit is opulent and engaging, truly a wine of excellent class.
