One of the greatest Burgundies and often when on top form it can rival the sheer genius that is Montrachet. The vines are planted on steep slopes making harvesting a painstaking task, if it rains and the precious soils are washed down the hill it must be manually hauled back up again. It opens with an elegant nose of white flower, green apple and wet stone notes. What follows shortly are fresh and wonderfully intense flavors that are exceptionally clean and bright, culminating in a bone dry finish replete with superb minerality.
