Name after one of the most famous metal bands going frankly this has got to be the ‘one’, nothing else matters. (ha!)

Seriously though…. Verdicchio di Matelica lies higher up the hill than the more famous Castelli di Jesi with a miniscule 30ha under vine at 400 meters above sea level.

This is La Monesca's introduction to the wonderful world of Verdicchio. With a short period of lees aging and a slightly earlier harvest the wine lean more towards racy acidity and a hints of honeysuckle. Think of this as Italy's (better in my opinion) version of Chablis.
