Trokia is Cape Chamonix's doth of the cap to the fine wines of Bordeaux. Trokia is supposed to mean 'a Russian sledge pulled by horses' which as per usual with these things has nothing what so ever to do with the wine.
All harvesting for this wine is manual, grapes are selected from a number of indiviual plots of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The soils are deep partial clay at an altitude of 380 - 450 meters above sea level.
The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in barrel (90% of which are new French Oak. The wine is then aged in bottle for six months before release.
Great to drink in its youth, this wine shows rich berry fruit and a lengthy finish, give it 10 - 15 years in the cellar and you'll have a real cracker of a wine
